Choosing the right food is one part of eating healthy, but how you prepare your food plays an important role as well. Roasting is one of the easiest cooking methods. Plus, it’s a great technique that’s suitable for working adults who don’t have much time to prepare dinners after long working hours.
On that note, we’re super excited for you to try out our new recipes; Roasted Brussels Sprouts! When cooked properly, brussels sprouts taste amazing as they’re crispy and yet soft (but not mushy) on the inside. Plus, brussels sprouts make the perfect side dish to your everyday meal or holiday dinners!

RECIPE 1:
Roasted Brussels sprouts with Garlic
Ingredients
- 500 grams Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
- 6 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 5 cloves Garlic, peeled and chopped finely
- 1 tsp Chili flakes (optional)
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of black pepper
Method
- Heat oven to 250°C.
- Place the trimmed brussels sprouts cut-side down on a baking tray.
- Next, add the chopped garlic, chili flakes, sprinkle some salt and pepper and drizzle some extra virgin olive oil over the brussels sprouts.
- Gently mix everything together.
- Roast the brussels sprouts in the oven for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Once done, drizzle balsamic vinegar and serve while it’s still hot.
RECIPE 2:
Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Walnuts and Cranberries
Ingredients
- 500 grams Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- ⅓ cup Walnuts, roughly chopped
- ⅓ cup Cranberries
- 6 tbsp Extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tbsp Honey
- A pinch of salt
- A pinch of black pepper
Method
- Heat oven to 250°C for 10 minutes.
- Coat the walnuts with honey and keep it aside.
- Next, place the trimmed brussels sprouts on a baking tray and drizzle some extra virgin olive oil.
- Then sprinkle some salt and black pepper according to taste.
- Mix everything together and roast the brussels sprouts in the oven for 10 minutes.
- Then, remove the tray from the oven and add the honey glazed walnuts and cranberries onto the baking tray and roast for another 5 to 10 minutes.
- Once done, serve it while it’s hot.
