A review on INTRIX One Tap 4-in-1
We currently live in a period when everything is developing swiftly, and as a result, we yearn for things that can be had instantly. Although it used to take our parents days to send or receive a letter, now, we can access a wealth of information with only the click of a finger.
Instant gratification has become an integral part of modern society and most of us share the common desire to get things done quickly.
Tapping on to this, INTRIX has introduced a new line in their tap series called INTRIX One Tap 4-in-1 which is equipped with two tap levers, one for purified hot and ambient water and the other for non-purified hot and ambient tap water. The tap is designed to be a minimalist’s dream with an under-sink command centre and the ability to produce instant purified hot water.
Thanks to the people at INTRIX, the team at 1Twenty80 had the opportunity to try out the One Tap 4-in-1 over a period of time, and here are our thoughts!
Things we love!
1. It’s convenient!
Making a hot beverage while also collecting some drinking water is made simpler by the ability to obtain both purified ambient and hot water from the same source. Furthermore, we can save valuable time by not having to wait for the electric kettle to heat up any water!
The filter is able to provide hot water up to 98 degrees Celsius. Since the water temperature is adjustable, you can use the steaming hot liquid for sterilisation purposes too!
2. Saves space
The under-sink command centre allows the filter to be concealed, preferably in the storage space that is located beneath the sink. This feature gives way to a less cluttered kitchen space.
The small size of the command centre enables easy maneuvering and hassle-free placement. If you have limited kitchen space, this command centre will fit in seamlessly with its sleek dimension: 190mm x 360mm x 340mm (Width x Height x Depth).
3. Good safety features
Since the tap is able to provide purified hot water and ambient water simultaneously, it’s vital to ensure that there are safety features in place to prevent children from getting splashed with hot liquid.
INTRIX One Tap 4-in-1 utilises a Push-To-Activate mechanism to prevent unwanted accidents. You have to push a button and twist the tap lever to access the hot water. It requires a bit of effort and this makes it tough for kids to twist the tap lever.
Whilst these are the discernible benefits that we enjoyed over here at 1Twenty80’s office, there are also other notable benefits that this INTRIX One Tap 4-in-1 can offer you such as low maintenance (yearly filter change) and an Eco-mode to save electricity by setting a timer that suits your daily lifestyle pace.
The Challenges
1. The push-to-activate mechanism
Twisting the water handle to get hot water proved challenging for a few team members. Although the Push-To-Activate mechanism serves as a safety precaution to prevent little ones from obtaining hot water, some adult team members found it challenging to simultaneously press the button and twist the tap lever. A little bit of force had to be exerted on the tap lever to access the hot water.
