Every once in a while, you might feel loneliness creeping in and especially if the feeling persists, it can be challenging to manage especially if you do not know how to.
You may start to lose hope in doing anything at that time and you’ll find it difficult to enjoy any aspect of life. You’ve tried a great deal of methods, yet failed to find a solution that suits you. Perhaps it’s time to find another approach to help you deal better with loneliness.
Here’s a list of fun activities that could help you get through your day without feeling lonely. You could find one or more activities that help you understand and support yourself better in figuring out what to do when you feel lonely or blue.

#1 A solo date
Whether it’s eating, catching a movie or going to the museum or an art gallery, solo dates are an amazing way to treat yourself. Going on a date with yourself is an advantage you should never miss! This is because you’ll be able to go places you would enjoy and guess what? You don’t have to wait around for others to decide or please anyone but yourself.
Also, you get to skip annoying questions like “What do we do?” or “Where do we eat?”.

#2 You can’t do everything, but you can do something!
If you’re someone who enjoy the outdoors then volunteering is something you should do. Volunteering helps you to focus on the needs of others instead of yourself. The benefits you get from volunteering is no doubt fulfilling. You’ll not only get to steer your mind away from sad thoughts, but you get to help those in need too. It’s definitely impossible to feel lonely or sad when you’re out and about helping others.
Some simple examples include community activities like paying a visit to a nearby orphanage, joining an awareness campaign or even a charity run. Going around and lending a helping hand will also fill your soul with immense gratitude.

#3 A furry companion
Pets can be expensive and messy and yes they hog your bed too. Yet, pets are able to make you stay healthy and happy.
If you’re one of the many millions of people across the world that love pets, then get yourself at least one. It can be a furry cat, an overly active dog or a noisy parrot, having pets can do wonders for your mood and at the same time keep you busy.
The experience you get from caring and training your pets will unquestionably wash your troubles away.

#4 Be brave enough to live life creatively!
Many see creativity to be a cure for a troubled soul. That’s because being creative helps you feel better about yourself. Especially when those creative ideas involve attending classes like air yoga, trampoline jumping, dancing and even martial arts.
Keeping yourself occupied is one way to help you forget loneliness. Alternatively, you can also try a new recipe that you’ve been wanting to try for a long time or if you’re into arts and crafts, without a doubt you should draw, paint or sculpt. It does not matter if you’re absolutely new to the activity, take the bold step and give it a try!
Take a moment and realise that you can be happy too. All you’ve got to do is breathe and connect yourself with the things that make you happy.
