Air Fryer Cakes

Cake is bae but it’s also a sign of celebration and joy. What better way to express your love and gratitude to your mother this Mother’s Day than to bake her a cake?

Here’s a thought: Perhaps a delicious Mother’s Day cake created in an air fryer!

Air fryer works the same way as an oven and baking a cake with it has its perks. For one, it’s easy, quick and small in size. Hence, it limits yourself from overindulging. Plus, there’s never a dull moment when it comes to learning new things.

For this Mother’s Day, we recommend you to try this method because we’ve tried it and it works! So now is the moment for you to give it a shot. Here’s the recipe to get you started:

Air fryer chocolate cake

INGREDIENTS
1 cup Granulated sugar
¾ cup + 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
½ cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbsp Baking powder
½ tbsp Baking soda
½ tbsp Kosher salt
1 Large egg
½ cup Buttermilk
¼ cup Vegetable oil
1 tbsp Vanilla extract
½ cup Boiling water

Methods

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray the inside of a 7-inch air fryer-safe cake pan with baking spray, then line with a 9-inch round piece of
    parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add the egg, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix for 2 minutes or until well combined.
  5. Subsequently, stir in the boiling water to create a thin batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and place it in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 25 minutes, or until the cake is baked through.
  8. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Decorate with frosting and sprinkles, if desired.

NOTE: Insert a toothpick or paring knife into the center of the cake to see if the crumb has set.

Air fryer lava cakes

INGREDIENTS
7 tbsp Butter
1 cup Dark chocolate chips
2 Eggs
3 ½ tbsp Sugar
1 ½ tbsp Self-rising flour, not all purpose
½ tbsp Coffee powder
A pinch Salt
Vanilla ice cream

Methods

  1. Melt the chocolate chips, butter and coffee powder together in the microwave until smooth.
  2. Whisk together eggs and sugar in a separate bowl.
  3. Then whisk egg mixture and chocolate together until well combined. Then mix in flour until smooth.
  4. Pour batter equally into four oven safe ramekins. Fill 3/4 full.
  5. Put in an air fryer basket for 10 minutes at 370 degrees.
  6. Once baked, allow to cool for two minutes before
    serving or serve while hot with vanilla ice cream.

With this air fryer cake recipe, you’ll have a moist, delicious cake in no time or at least less than it takes to bake in the oven. Just add your favorite frosting and enjoy!
