What to Wear on Valentine’s Day

Here’s your typical Valentine’s Day checklist – Order a bouquet of red roses, buy a box of chocolates, secure a reservation at the restaurant that you and your partner love, and lastly, figure out the perfect Valentine’s gift that will blow your partner’s mind away.

Now that you’ve got all that covered, what are you going to wear?

We’re sure you’re not going to turn up to this important date wearing an everyday casual outfit unless of course, the plans for the occasion fits.

Otherwise, let’s not panic…We’re here to help you out!

For Men

It’s time to work on the sexy smart casual look. You don’t have to go for the sharply- tailored look. Instead, pull on your favourite grey t-shirt, a polo shirt, oxford shirt with colours of light blue, navy or simply go for white and match it with a slim cut trousers.

If you’re going for a dinner date, add a nice blazer and make sure you have a pair of black or brown dress shoes or a nice pair of clean sneakers would do the trick to complete the look.

Tip: For accessories, a watch would be great but you could also opt for a masculine bracelet as a conversational piece. Never forget your belt to pull your look together. Once you’re done, you’re good to go!

For Women

Let’s skip the overrated Valentine’s Day look where you’ll have to wear everything and anything in red. Spice up your look by going for a pale pink, yellow, emerald green or royal blue top that will go superbly well with a pair of black jeggings. If you’re more of a dress person then a halter dress or an off- shoulder dress would be just right!

Do not worry about your heels ladies, nude coloured heels go a long way with any style.

Tip: Do not go heavy on the jewellery and make up. Keep it simple with hoop earrings, a simple necklace and some lipstick to bring the look together.
